The cultural-artistic program on Christmas and New Year designed by the Chisinau City Hall will be different from those on other years. To diminish the risk of infection with the novel coronavirus, most of the activities will be broadcast, including live, on the public TV channel “Moldova 1” and on social networking sites.
On December 24, on Christina’s eve, a concert entitled “Who we are” will be given by Valy Boghean Band between 6pm and 8pm. During 7:15-8:50, the charity project “Winter Tale” involving a number of artists will be broadcast on the public TV channel “Moldova 1” and on social networking sites. As part of the campaign that will last until January 14, 2021, donations will be collected for children in situations of risk.
The same day, and also on January 14, , a collage of artistic programs on the winter holidays involving artistic groups of the Chisinau City Hall’s Culture Division will be aired between 5:30pm and 6:15pm.
On New Year’s Eve, between 9:15 and 11:50pm, there will be broadcast a program titled “Winter Dream” with the participation of the folk music orchestra of Vitalie and Vasile Advahov and famous Moldovan and Romanian singers.
During December 2 and January 14, between 4pm and 8pm, photo sessions with Santa Claus and Fulguța will be staged in the square of the Metropolitan Cathedral “God’s Birth”.
The winter holidays in Chisinau were kicked off on December 1, when the Christmas Tree and the holiday lighting in the Cathedral’s square were inaugurated.
