Chisinau City needs a belt road, smart traffic lights, parking places, including underground ones, both in the center of the capital city and on the periphery, so that it is considerably decongested, said the candidate for the mayoralty of Chisinau of the Chance Party Cristina Vulpe, who promised to implement all these solutions if she is elected mayor, IPN reports.

According to the candidate, a belt road will considerably diminish congestion and will ease traffic by 10-15%. “Modern intersections will reduce traffic congestion by another 10%, while smart traffic lights or smart signals will help to regulate traffic. We need underground and at-grade parking lots accessible downtown and on the periphery,” Cristina Vulpe stated in an event held to launch her election campaign.

The candidate promised to renovate major and secondary streets and to build new roads. She said that together with her team, she will found a modern municipal road building company and this will help save 30% of the city’s financial resources.

“The modernization of yards of apartment buildings – we will no longer paint old benches and pipes in our yards. We will launch a new program titled ”Modern Yard” and will start to modernize our yards. We will also modernize the housing sector – the heating system, facades,” noted Cristina Vulpe.

She pledged to launch a maternal capital program in support of young parents. “Each family, for each child, will receive appropriate assistance from us,” stated the candidate. She promised that the pensioners whose pensions are lower than 5,000 lei will get by 1,000 lei in social assistance.

According to Cristina Vulpe, a huge Chisinau Land amusement park with free access, similar to Orhei Land, will be built in the capital city. “I’m ready to sign a contract with each citizen of the municipality of Chisinau to stipulate every point I read today. If in two years, 70% of what will be stipulated in the contract is not fulfilled, I will resign,” said the candidate.
