Badminton player Cristian Savin is one step away from the Youth Olympic Games that will take place in Buenos Aires during October 6-18, 2018. The 18-year-old athlete for two months has headed the European rankings and takes the 14th place in the world rankings.
The first 32 players from the world rankings will qualify for the competition of Argentina. The list will be published next May. “It is now hard to outdo Cristian, who is in great form,” president of the Moldovan Badminton Federation Marian Stan has told IPN.
Vlada Ginca also has chances of competing in the Youth Olympic Games. She is now the 49th in the world and seventh in Europe.
