The creditors of IM Eventis Mobile SRL filed an application to the Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO), asking starting a criminal case against high-ranking officials, IPN reports, quoting a statement of the creditors published in the newspaper “Panorama”.
According to representatives of Eventis, owing to officials’ illegal acts against the company, damage of 80 million lei was caused to the state.
“Officials of the PGO said it is impossible to start a criminal case on this case as the assertions of ICT Minister Pavel Filip and D. Parfentiev represent their personal opinions about the caused damage. Also, the officials from which the company’s creditors received answers based their judgments only on the statements of Pavel Filip, who said that IM Eventis Mobile SRL should be deprived of license and frequencies because Moldova sustained damage during the insolvency process,” reads the statement.
The creditors call on the prosecutors not to use double standards as, after Pavel Filip made the mentioned statements, the national ICT regulator (ANRCETI) withdraw the license of Eventis based on the State Registration Chamber’s illegal refusal to register the contract.
The licensee of the third mobile phone operator Eventis was withdrawn on August 16. The Administration Board of the ANRCETI argued that the company didn’t liquidate the irregularities that led to its withdrawal.
