As of July 1, the COVID-19 green certificate that is primarily needed for easier travelling abroad could be downloaded from certificat-covid.gov.ro, said Andrei Baciu, secretary of state at the Ministry of Health of Romania. According to him, the existence of this European digital certificate facilitates transportation and travel inside the European area, IPN reports.
The document will show that the person suffered from COVID-19, has immunity, got vaccinated or tested negative for the diseases. The QR code with this information could be scanned and will facilitate border crossing.
The Romanian official said the Government of Romania prepares the related legislation and there will also be other methods by which the citizens could come into possession of the document. The certificate will also be available from public health divisions and from family doctors. There will be set up a call center and a group for solving unexpected problems that can appear and for eventual exceptions.
“In several days, on July 1, the digital certificate will start to be used in Romania too. A lot of work was done the past few months to finish this procedure,” stated Andrei Baciu, being quoted by digi24.ro.
