The Chisinau Court of Appeals suspended the decision of the Broadcasting Coordination Council (BCC) to examine the results of the monitoring carried out at a number of TV channels until a definitive court decision is passed, IPN reports.
In a meeting on May 2, the Council’s chairman Marian Pocaznoi said that afterward the BCC will present the monitoring results as regards the percentage of national programs on these TV channels and the volume of advertisements broadcast by the same channels during April 5-11.
In the same meeting, the BCC issued a warning to the TV channels “Bravo” and “TV 7” for broadcasting advisements in the form of sponsorship during programs, which is violation of the Broadcasting Code.
