Chisinau court, Ciocana headquarters, has not sustained the anticorruption prosecutors' request to arrest the Chairman of the Supreme Court of Justice, Ion Druţă. The information was confirmed for IPN by the chief prosecutor of the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office, Viorel Morari.
Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office has pressed charges against the Chairman of the Supreme Court of Justice for committing the offence of illicit enrichment.
Ion Druță was detained on Wednesday, October 2nd. Although the judge has resigned from the position of CSJ chairman, his resignation has not yet been accepted by the Superior Council of Magistracy.
