The waste collected in Chisinau will be further transported to the landfill in Țânțăreni village of Anenii Noi district. The contract was extended for 12 months until December 31, 2020. Mayor of Chisinau Ion Ceban told a news conference that the municipal authorities reached an agreement with the local authorities of Țânțăreni last night, close to midnight, and the contract was signed this morning, IPN reports.
“It is our duty to keep the city clean, but the inhabitants of Țânțăreni should be assured that we are reliable partners and can do so that everyone is satisfied,” stated the mayor, noting the municipality will respect all the commitments undertaken by the contract.
There were also agreed new provisions. The municipality of Chisinau will allocate another 10 million lei in addition to the 6 million lei planned by the previous contract for solving pressing problems faced by Țânțăreni.
When the 2020 municipal budget is rectified, the Chisinau City Hall will allocate 3 million lei to the Țânțăreni Health Center and 760,000 lei for laying out the local stadium.
