Officers of the Leuseni customs post identified a consignment of eyeglasses in commercial quantities without documents of origin. The merchandise was transported by a minibus conveying parcels from Italy. The eyeglasses were to be illegally sold on the domestic market. The goods were confiscated, IPN reports.
A citizen of Moldova driving a truck with a foreign license number was stopped at the Leuseni customs post at the entrance into Moldova. The driver was transporting unaccompanied parcels from Italy. The customs inspectors discovered undeclared eyeglasses among the parcels. The total value of the goods is yet to be determined.
The customs officers are to find out if the intellectual property rights weren’t violated in this case.
