The Competition Council is inspecting two economic entities working in the tourism industry. They are suspected of reaching cartel agreements as regards the sale of plane tickets, IPN reports.

The Council’s head Viorica Carare told the press that the inspection started a month ago and goes on. This is the first inspection since the modification of the Competition Law in 2012.

Under the law, the Competition Council can carry out inspections in five cases: abuse of the dominant position; anti-competition agreements; disloyal competition; when the actions or inactions of the central and local public administration institutions and authorities restrict, hamper or distort competition, and in case of merger.
