The Communist parliamentary group demanded that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration provide explanations as to what money its employees spent to amuse themselves in a public place in Chisinau. According to the Communists, they spent public money, Info-Prim Neo reports. “They entertained themselves in a luxury restaurant with public money. According to the Ministry’s press service, it was a summing up meeting and the restaurant was chosen because there is not enough space at the Ministry. This meeting was financed by a private sponsor and the Ministry. Since when does the Ministry have a private sponsor? We demand that the Ministry’s staff be dismissed,” said Communist lawmaker Grigore Petrenko. Hi faction colleague Ion Ceban said a place in that restaurant costs 500 lei. “If the banquet involved 150 people, it means that the Ministry spent 75,000 lei. We seek explanations from Mister Leanca, who does not have time to come here,” said the MP. A number of media outlets published pictures of the banquet of the Ministry’s employees.
