The MP of the Bloc of Communists and Socialists (BCS) Vyacheslav Nigai decided to defect to the Party “Respect Moldova Movement” which was founded by former MP of the Democratic Party Eugeniu Nikiforchuk, IPN reports.
“The member of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova Vyacheslav Nigai - a devoted and visionary politician - combined his forces with the Respect Moldova Movement. His choice signifies a period of profound reflection and wish to find a party that shares his values, oriented to a correct policy. Vyacheslav Nigai was a member of the PCRM up to moment this party abandoned its principles in favor of oligarchic interests,” said the party.
The Respect Moldova Movement noted that it promotes the state values, democracy and the fight against corruption, while the joining by MP Vyacheslav Nigai is an important step taken towards a more responsible and open policy.
Vyacheslav Nigai became a member of the Party of Communists (PCRM) in 2011. In 2021, he was named deputy chairman of the PCRM. He entered Parliament on the BCS’s list after the snap parliamentary elections of July 2021.
