Those interested will be able to obtain information about mental health within a communication platform launched on May 1 following a rise in the number of cases of depression. 25% of Moldova’s population is affected by depression, but many of the cases remain undiagnosed.
The data were presented on the occasion of the launch of the European pilot project DepNet, whose goal is to create an online platform to support the persons suffering from depreciation, IPN reports.
The website depnet.org provides scientific information about depression and is also an interactive forum that enables to create a personal blog, offers topics for discussions and the possibility of putting questions to mental health specialists. It also contains information about what is depression, how it can be diagnosed, which are the methods of psychotherapeutic and pharmacological treatment and how to help the close persons affected by this medical condition.
The DepNet project is to be launched in all the European countries, with Moldova being the first where it is implemented.
