The Parliament’s commission on foreign policy and European integration on January 18 accepted the candidates for the posts of Moldova’s Ambassadors to the Netherlands, Belgium, Lithuania and the People’s Republic of China, IPN reports.
According to the Parliament’s press service, Tatiana Parvu is the candidate for ambassador to the Netherlands, Lilian Darie to Belgium, Sergiu Mihov to Lithuania, while Denis Jelimalai to China.
Under Article 10 of the Law on the Diplomatic Service, the ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary, permanent representatives, envoys and charge d’affaires en titre are named to posts and recalled by the President of the Republic of Moldova, at the proposal of the Government. The candidates are fielded by the minister of foreign affairs and European integration by consulting the Parliament’s commission on foreign policy and European integration.
