Collections to municipal budget lower than projected

The collections into the municipal budget are much bellow than the projections. On September 1, they totaled 1.64 billion lei, which is 82% of the planned 1.326 billion lei. The figures were presented by the deputy mayor Mihai Furtuna at Monday's meeting of the Chisinau City Hall, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to Furtuna, the budget deficit is 262 million lei. Nineteen types of taxes and payments are overdue, especially the income tax on salary and the payment of street advertising and rental. The deputy mayor urged the heads of the municipal divisions and companies and the mayors of suburban settlements to review the expenditure for this year. Mihai Furtuna said that the municipal budget for 2010 provides for spending of 1.50 billion lei. He tasked the municipal services to reconsider their work and staff policies and provide information about the revenues and expenditure planned for the next year within a week.
