The National House of Social Insurance (CNAS) has signed contracts with nine payment service providers as all the social benefits and pensions from September 1 will be paid through the state-owned Moldova’s Post Office or the banks chosen by the beneficiaries, IPN reports.
The CNAS has signed contracts with Moldova-Agroindbank, Moldindconbank, Victoriabank, FinComBank, Eximbank, Energbank, EuroCreditBank, Comertbank, and Mobiasbanca.
According to the CNAS, 48,000 recipients of different social benefits have submitted so far applications for being served by nine banks with which the National House of Social Insurance signed contracts for the provision of payment services.
The pensioners or beneficiaries of social welfare (state social allowance, maternity allowance, childbirth allowance, child benefit, death and unemployment benefit) can choose the payment service provider by opening an account and receiving a bank card from the given bank. They must only go to the chosen bank with the identity card and submit an application.
The persons who didn’t file an application to have the payment service provider changed can receive the money from the branches of Moldova’s Post Office from September 1, but can anytime choose another provider.
The National House of Social Insurance dispenses social welfare to about 1 million people.
