The National Health Insurance Company will allocate 940,000 lei from the prophylaxis measures fund for the purchase of the first batch of anti-rabies immunological preparations this year. It goes to 7,000 doses of rabies vaccine and 37 vials of anti-rabies immunoglobulin, IPN reports.
Both preparations were made in India and arrived this week in the Republic of Moldova. They were stored at the vaccine warehouse of the National Public Health Agency.
The rabies vaccine is indicated for the prevention of rabies in children and adults, being used before and after exposure to rabies virus as primary immunization.
