About 400 workers last week were daily involved in manual cleanup works in public spaces, yards of apartment buildings and municipal waste gathering platforms. Public transport stations were also cleaned and the garbage bins there were emptied, IPN reports, quoting a press release issued by the General Housing and Amenities Division.
According to the Division, for the gathered vegetal waste to be taken away, the municipal enterprises were provided with units of transport by district housing services enterprises and by other organizations. This way, 10 to 35 units of transport were made available for these works.
When the volume of leaves was large, the workers were assisted by Avant mini-loaders.
Also, there were performed works to take away improvised or unauthorized kiosk, gates, fences and parking barriers placed on public areas and to remove old metal elements from playgrounds in yards of apartment buildings.
There were collected construction waste, leaves and dry branches.
Consequently, 80 units of transport and equipment of district housing services enterprises were involved in the cleanup process last week. There were gathered 200 waste trucks.
