Members and sympathizers of the Common Action – Civic Congress Party, led by ex-Communists Mark Tkachuk and Iurie Muntean, marched in a column accompanied by a brass band from the Circus along the streets of Chisinau, chanting “We do not sell ourselves” and “The choice is Civic Congress”. The march was generically titled “March of incorruptible people”, IPN reports.

Mark Tkachuk, one of the party’s leaders, said that if the incorruptible people win the elections, they will be able to protect the most precious treasure of the country – the citizens and their rights. If they win, there will be implemented modern technologies and the country will have universities, schools, museums, libraries, the law and justice will rule and the country will not be sold. “We will not give up as we do not sell ourselves,” stated the politician.

Candidate for MP on behalf of the party Iurie Muntean noted that Moldova is a united civic nation that does not sell itself.

Supporter of the party Tatiana Bujniță-Tricolici said she came to the march to firmly say that the country cannot be sold and friends, love, the future of this country’s children cannot be sold, while health worker Mihail Bursuciuc stated that everyone blames the health sector for not coping with the pandemic and say there are not enough funds, but there is money in fact, but it is used for functionaries and their servants, for luxurious villas and cars and for high salaries.

Supporter Natalia Dashkevich said that during tens of years the pope have been promised better living conditions, but the conditions do not improve, only the taxes and the retirement age are raised, while Petru Stafi called on the Moldovans who got tired of thieves and schemes to vote in elections on July 11 and to vote for the Civic Congress so as to create the real success story of the Republic of Moldova.

The Common Action – Civic Congress Party nominated 101 candidates for MP, with the list being topped by Iurie Muntean. The party is under No. 2 on the ballot.
