Activists of the Civic Congress accuse the European officials Dirk Schuebel and Štefan Füle of fascist dictatorship and financial swindles. In a news conference at IPN, they said that Moldova’s participation in the Vilnius Summit will represent ‘selling of the country’.

Activist Igor Caldare said that the two European officials should be held accountable for usurping the power in the Republic of Moldova. “Schuebel once said that since 2010, Moldova have received over €555 million in grants. We will never know where this money went because they are accomplices in these swindles. This money is stolen, divided in secret and only another composition of the power can change things,” he stated.

Another activist Pavel Gavrilov said the European officials cover all the offenses in Moldova. According him, until the Moldovan officials are protected by Dirk Schuebel and Štefan Füle, Moldova will not combat corruption. “The Czech police have experience in arresting officials accused of corruption. As Štefan Füle is Czech, we filed a complaint to the Czech police as it is about theft of European grants,” he stated.

Vladimir Volkov, a member of the Civic Congress, said that he was the manager of a European project and saw how the money from European projects is stolen. He stated he was arrested when he attempted to make these illegal schemes public and now was banned by court order from leaving the country.

The activists said they informed about this a number of European organizations that monitor the use of money within European projects.
