City Hall to organize Days of Chisinau in Targoviste

The City Hall of the Municipality of Chisinau will organize for the first time cultural events entitled Days of Chisinau in Targoviste, Romania, on October 20-22. The interim Mayor of Chisinau, Vasile Ursu declared on Monday, October 16 at a press conference “the most important ambassadors in the relations between towns are culture and businessmen. Politics comes second”. According to him, this is the reason why Targoviste’s event will display the cultural-artistic and economic aspects of the relations between the two towns. The program of the events will include plays of the Municipal Puppet Theatre “Guguta” and the municipal theatre “Satiricus”, art, craftsmanship and photo exhibitions. As well concerts of the singers from Moldova and Romania, including of the Municipal orchestra “Amadeus”, ethno-jazz concerts presented by “Trigon” and “Transbalcanica”, the play “2 hours with the most beautiful children of Chisinau and Targoviste” will be presented. As well meetings of the Moldovan and Romanian writers, editors, and librarians are planned to be organized. An exhibition of the most representative production enterprises from Chisinau, “Carmez”, “Bucuria”, “Aroma”, “Cricova” and “Franzeluta” will take place. Also the wine enterprises participating at the Wine Festival in Bucharest will participate in the exhibition in Tragoviste. The Days of Chisinau will culminate with a folk music concert presented by Mihai Munteanu, Margareta Ivanus, Mihai Ciobanu, Vasile Iovu, the “Folclor” orchestra of the National Philharmonic Orchestra “2 hours with the most beautiful children of Chisinau and Targoviste” will be presented “Serghey Lunchevici”. On the whole, a delegation of 150 persons will leave for Targoviste. The expenses of the City Hall of Chisinau for the organization of the festivities were estimated at about MDL 328 thousand. The head of the Department for Foreign Relations, Ion Capatina, specified that the expenses cover transportation, daily allowances and payment of several artistic collectives and singers who are not financed from the account of the municipal budget. The rest of the expenses, for meals and accommodations will be covered by the authorities from Targoviste.
