City Hall promises that all churches will be provided with public lights by Easter

Capital’s city hall pledged to illuminate all the churches of the municipality and repair access ways by Easter, which will be observed on April 8, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the PR department, interim mayor Veaceslav Iordan summoned responsible persons from Municipal Council and City Hall’s subdivisions into a sitting concerning works near the churches “Tuturor Sfintilor”(“All Saints”) situated in the Central Cemetery on the Armeneasca Street and “Sfanta Treime” (“The Holy Trinity”), on the Muncesti Blvd. According to interim head of Public Transport General Division Alexei Varlan, illumination works are already being operated at the moment, and the repairs of the access ways will start in short time, the services being provided with the necessary equipment. Funeral Services have already arranged the territory which is adjacent to holy buildings. At the request of the vicars of the two churches, local authorities will also contribute to the renovation of their facades. There are 46 churches in the Municipality of Chisinau, 13 of which are placed in suburbs.
