The election observation mission of the Commonwealth of Independent States is having meetings with electoral runners and is preparing an analysis of the electoral legislation in the context of the campaign for the early legislative elections, Info-Prim Neo reports. In a communique, the mission says the CIS observers will monitor the November 28 early parliamentary elections in strict compliance with the legislation of Moldova. The mission coordinated the working program and principles in the election campaign with representatives of the OSCE election observation mission. The staff of the CIS observers requested the Supreme Court of Justice, the Prosecutor General's Office, the Ministry of the Interior, the Central Election Commission and the Broadcasting Coordination Council to provide information about the cases of violation of the electoral legislation and their final conclusions over these violations. The CIS observers familiarized themselves with the work of the electoral districts of the municipalities of Chisinau and Balti. They welcomed the efforts made by the electoral bodies, including the Central Election Commission, to motivate the voters to take part in elections. A number of 24 international observers on behalf of the Commonwealth of Independent States have been authorized to supervise the early legislative elections on November 28. The observers are from Belarus, Russia, and Kyrgyzstan and from the CIS Executive Committee.
