The works to set up the Christmas fair near the National Palace “Nicolae Sulac” are underway. The wooden houses are being assembled around the fountain. The fair is to be inaugurated on December 24, IPN reports.
The program of events that will be staged in connection with the winter holidays will include recreation, socialization, culturally and artistic education activities. Business entities will promote national products.
Artistic groups from all over the country will perform on the stage that is being assembled to promote dances and folk music. National theaters, children’s theaters, groups of amateur artists and bands representing national minorities will also take part in the events. Craftspeople will exhibit traditional products made from wood, clay and skin.
The Government allocated 8.5 million lei for holding the planned activities during December 24, 2021 – January 10, 2022. Ten more towns of Moldova will also stage such events.
