The National Chamber Choir "Madrigal – Marin Constantin" will hold a concert on November 13 at the Organ Hall in Chisinau. The concert is organized by the Romanian Embassy in the Republic of Moldova and the Romanian Cultural Institute "Mihai Eminescu" in Chisinau on the occasion of Romania's National Day, IPN reports.

The concert, held under the baton of the well-known conductor Anna Ungureanu, is part of the Choir's tour in the Republic of Moldova, entitled " European Dream". It is a reunion with the Bessarabian public after almost 30 years.

According to the organizers, the National Chamber Choir "Madrigal – Marin Constantin" is an emblem of the Romanian and universal musical life. Since it was founded in 1963 by conductor Marin Constantin (1925-2011), the Madrigal Choir has performed over 4,600 concerts applauded around the world, thus distinguishing itself as a true country brand.

"It is one of the world benchmarks of choral chamber music, with a repertoire focused on European Renaissance, Byzantine music and Romanian and universal contemporary creation," reads a press release.

In November 2016, the "Madrigal – Marin Constantin" National Chamber Choir was officially recognized as an Ambassador of Freedom, Hope and Peace, receiving the "Jean Nussbaum and Eleanor Roosevelt" award at the United Nations Office in Geneva, within the Global Summit on Religion, Peace and Security. After 58 years of uninterrupted activity, the National Chamber Choir "Madrigal – Marin Constantin", a public concert institution of national importance attached to the Ministry of Culture of Romania, continues its path of cultural diplomacy, being one of the longest-living and most appreciated European choral ensembles.

The event will take place on November 13, starting at 07:00 p.m., at the Organ Hall in Chisinau.
