Chisinau’s central garden turned into blood collection center

The head of the Chisinau Health Division Luminita Suveica called on the persons who can donate blood to do it. A number of blood collection units will work in Chisinau on June 14, when it is marked the World Blood Donor Day, Info-Prim Neo reports. The inhabitants of Centru district can donate blood at the National Blood Transfusion Center situated at 11 Academiei St, from 8am until 3pm, the persons living in Buiucani and Rascani districts – at the blood collection unit set up in the central garden “Stephan the Great”, from 10am until 3pm, while those residing in Botanica and Ciocana districts – at the Malldova shopping center, from 11am until 4pm. “I call upon the people to donate blood and remember that a drop of blood can save a life. Not everyone can donate blood owing to the state of health, but the residents of Chisinau should know how important blood donation is,” said acting mayor of Chisinau Nistor Grozavu.
