A number of students, who graduate from Chisinau secondary schools this year, had a meeting with representatives of the municipality and education institutions, who advised them how to choose a profession after graduation. The students also received by 5,000 lei in financial assistance from the social support fund, IPN reports.
Head of the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb wished the future graduates confidence in themselves and their knowledge, telling them not to be afraid of the final exams because these are only an assessment of the knowledge accumulated in time. She urged the young people to be very attentive when they choose an occupation, based on what they like, not on what is fashionable.
The representatives of the Ministry of Education informed the graduates about the higher education institutions existing in the county and the possibilities that the studies in colleges and vocational schools offer. Senior adviser at the Ministry Larisa Efros urged the students who do not want to study at the university to go to a vocational school where they can learn particular skills during a year. She also advised them to inform themselves in detail about their rights and possibilities.
The representatives of the National Employment Agency said a professions and jobs fair will be staged in the near future to enable the young people to find out employers’ requirements towards the future employees so that these lay emphasis on the accumulation of experience from volunteer activities while studying at the university.
