The education institutions in the municipality of Chisinau lack teachers. According to the head of the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb, about 100 educators are needed in kindergartens, while the schools do not have enough teachers of math, informatics, and physics, IPN reports.
“Those with teaching qualification who apply for a job are offered posts in kindergartens too. We hope we will fill the vacancies by the start of the new academic year,” said Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb. ”We also need 15 nurses in schools and kindergartens.”
Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb also said that a teachers’ conference will be held on August 22 to sum up the results of the previous school year and to set the priorities for the new year. The event will be broadcast live.
