On the occasion of the European Mobility Week, the deputy mayor of Chisinau Ilie Ceban on Tuesday offered bicycles to the district heads and heads of municipal subdivisions as part of an initiative to promote alternative transport in the city, IPN reports.
“Within the European Mobility Week, we aim to promote alternative transport in Chisinau, encouraging the use of bicycles as an ecological solution. In the future, we want to further develop the infrastructure for bicycles and encourage City Hall employees to use them. We want to see as many bicycles as possible in front of the City Hall and in the entire city,” said Ilie Ceban.
The longest bicycle lane in the city is available on 31 August 1989 St. The Chisinau City Hall said it will continue to develop the necessary infrastructure to improve urban mobility.
