Chisinau mayor’s car involved in fatal accident

The car of the Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca was involved in a road accident that resulted in the death of a man on December 11. Antonina Talpa, press officer of the Traffic Police Division, has told Info-Prim Neo that the accident happened on Albisoara St in Chisinau. The Opel Astra car driven by a 24-year-old man struck fatally a man aged 61. According to the police, the pedestrian was jaywalking. Vadim Brinzaniuc, head of the Chisinau City Hall’s Public Relations Division, confirmed that it was the mayor’s car. He said that when the accident happened it was driven by the head of the City Hall’s garage. The case is investigated by the Prosecution Division of the Chisinau General Police Commissariat.
