Chisinau mayor Ion Ceban announces the launch of the National Alternative Movement Party. According to him, the party will fight for Moldova’s neutral status, independence and European integration. The announcement was made on Tuesday in a press briefing, during which the politician thanked the citizens for the trust shown to him when he was elected mayor.
“For two years and ten months now we have demonstrated that the city and the suburbs can develop, prosper and be reanimated, and people can really see and feel these changes. We are making these changes for the better together with a new team at the Chisinau City Hall and, of course, with the support of the city’s residents. This has been achieved in a rather complicated period: we have had the pandemic crisis, the energy crisis, the refugee crisis”, declared Ceban.
In his view, Chisinau’s development model can be replicated throughout the country. “I know people are waiting for an alternative. People have lost confidence, they are disappointed in the current sterile so-called leadership that has been a total fiasco”, declaimed Ion Ceban.
He said that after the National Alternative Movement was announced in December 2021, it was “naturally” put on hold due to the Ukraine war. “Today I am here before you to announce that we are launching the National Alternative Movement Party. The party that stands for action and against empty talk. We stand for the development of the country, for revival and modernization, for the independence and neutrality of the Republic of Moldova. we stand for the European integration that started many years ago. And for that we will fight and act”, Ion Ceban summarized his party’s manifesto.
