Representatives of several youth organizations in Chisinau argue that the mayor does not have to be a politician who is concerned about the language that is spoken, about ideals or unifications, but a person dealing with the city's problems. They urge young people, but also the entire community of Chisinau to vote "a mayor with a pragmatic approach". According to them, some candidates who registered in the race "had a certain pragmatic appeal, but they continued to play political games, in which the country has been caught up since Independence."

At an IPN press conference, Dumitru Roibu, the chairman of "Descendants of Stefan" Youth Movement, has specified that young people have been watching the election campaign, the behaviour of the candidates registered in the race for mayor of the capital. According to him, some of the registered candidates have nothing to do with the development of the municipality. Dumitru Roibu has mentioned that there are candidates who have limited their election campaign only to the installation of billboards in Chisinau and in the suburbs.

The chairman of "Descendants of Stefan" Youth Movement says that, if there is no victory in the first round, Andrei Năstase and Ion Ceban will accede to the second round.

Ion Jomir, Chairman of the Youth Government of the Republic of Moldova, has mentioned that as to the city's infrastructure, he noted an evasive reply on the part of candidates Dorin Chirtoaca, Valeriu Munteanu, Octavian Țîcu, Andrei Năstase. The best solutions were found in the program of Ion Ceban, the candidate of the Socialist Party, who proposes multi-storey car parking spots, ring highway, roads, parks, etc.

Igor Sîrbu, chairman of "EcoDava" Foundation for Ecological Development, has referred to the situation of the Bâc river, which, according to him, is serious, because there are a lot of sources polluting the waters. "All the problems related to pollution can be solved by being managed by a good administrator, someone who cares about the city," said Igor Sîrbu. In his opinion, such a candidate is Ion Ceban.

Silvia Bogonovschi, project coordinator at the Centre for Youth Cooperation, has mentioned that people are waiting for programs with real solutions. Moreover, mutual respect between candidates is expected.
