Chisinau requested the OSCE Mission to persuade Tiraspol to return to the earlier agreed communication platforms and to adopt a respectful attitude to the officials and public authorities of the Republic of Moldova. The constitutional authorities are concerned about the recent behavior of Tiraspol that deviates from the agreed format of correspondence between the two sides of the Nistru, IPN reports.

The necessity of respecting the formats of neutral dialogue between Chisinau and Tiraspol was reiterated in a meeting of the Head of the Reintegration Policies Bureau Alin Gvidiani and the Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Claus Neukirch.

In the discussions, it was noted that the Moldovan side is waiting for Tiraspol to inform about concert dates after it put off a number of meetings of the sector working groups for unclear reasons. Chisinau proposed that these meetings should be held in December.

Chisinau notes that Tiraspol remits direct notices to national institutions and these are bewildered. The authorities asked for the OSCE Mission’s prompt intervention so as to persuade Tiraspol to return to the correct path and to the earlier agreed communication platforms

Alin Gvidiani thanked for the productive contribution and for the facilitation by the OSCE of the process of finalizing and agreeing the text of the OSCE Ministerial Council’s Statement on the Transnistrian settlement process that was approved on December 3 in Stockholm.

In a press release, the Reintegration Policies Bureau noted that in the meeting the officials expressed their readiness to have constructive cooperation on the Transnistrian settlement process under the ageist of the Polish OSCE Chairpersonship starting with 2022. In concert with the Moldova authorities, there will be coordinated and set the priorities and viable activity objectives.
