The Chisinau City Hall announced it will livestream the Easter Vigil liturgy from the Metropolitan Cathedral across its social media accounts after learning that the national broadcaster will not do it, breaking with a 30-year-old tradition.
According to Mayor Ion Ceban, the City Hall will send a letter to all media institutions, encouraging them to further restream the liturgy. The mayor wished the people of Chisinau to celebrate the Easter holidays in peace.
In the Great National Assembly Square, parking spaces have been prepared for those who will visit the Cathedral on Easter Vigil. Parking spaces will also be available on adjacent streets.
