The Multimedia Department of the Academy of Music, Theater and Plastic Arts was donated modern devices in the framework of the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects in culture “Kusanone”. The Government of Japan provided US$ 90,800 in grant assistance. The project completion ceremony was scheduled for November 28, IPN reports.
The grant was used to purchase a number of categories of multimedia devices, including video cameras, filming accessories and lighting equipment as well as printing and projection devices, such as system blocks, monitors, projectors with accessories and a professional screen. The Department was outfitted with software, three professional programs. Within the project, the Academy of Music, Theater and Plastic Arts purchased also several devices with its own funds, to the value of US$4,700.
The outfitting of the Academy with multimedia devices will strengthen its capacities to train and professionally develop new classes of film directors, image directors, sound, film and TV producers. It will also be able to ensure good cooperation relations with faculties of other similar institutions and to organize, record and promote different cultural evets, such as film and theater festivals, concerts and exhibitions.
The official ceremony to finish the project will be held at the Faculty of Theatrical, Choreographic and Multimedia Arts of the Academy of Music, Theater and Plastic Arts on November 28, starting at 4pm. The event will involve Japan’s Ambassador to Moldova Masanobu Yoshii, who will visit the filming and projection studio of the Multimedia Department to familiarize himself with the results of the project.
