Thirty children of the Chisinau Special School No. 12 will receive new hearing aids and batteries to the value of over $8,000 from the Embassy of Germany, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué from the Embassy, the children were selected by the school’s administration. The public association “Societatea de Integrare a Hipoacuzilor din Moldova Akant”, which provides assistance to hearing-impaired persons, counseled the school in purchasing the devices. The aids were already adjusted to the needs of every child and can be used. The children wearing them will be able to take a more active part in school activities.
The handover ceremony will take place at the school, which is located at 34 Cuza Voda St, on January 22, at 10am.
