A group of 14 children aged between 11 and 15 and an adult from Pereni village of Rezina district were taken to the district hospital in medium-serious state with such symptoms as dyspnea and cough. Two children were admitted to the intensive care section, 12 to the pediatric section, while the grownup to the therapy section, IPN reports.
The Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection said it was informed about this case by specialists of the National Public Health Center. Specialists of TOXAPEL, AVIASAN and the Mother and Child Institute were consulted to coordinate the treatment.
According to the Ministry, the children were offered the necessary medical assistance and they are now out of danger. The latest reports show that gas vapors were dispersed from a gas spray by a child in the classroom at the secondary school of Pereni village of Rezina district.
The Ministry is monitoring the situation and coordinates the activity of the specialists at the local level.
