The state of health of the two-year-old boy, who fell from the sixth floor into an elevator shaft, has improved. The child was transferred from the Intensive Care Unit to the Neurosurgery Unit of the Mother and Child Institute.

“There are positive dynamics in the state of health. Due to the efforts made by the medical team of the Intensive Care Unit, the patient was yesterday transferred to the Neurosurgery Unit for rehabilitation,” spokesman for the Mother and Child Institute Maxim Cazacu has told IPN.

The incident occurred on September 11 in a residential building in Ungheni town. The mother put the stroller between the doors to hold the elevator and turned to get a bag. At that moment, the boy fell into the elevator shaft, when the elevator went up to one of the upper floors.
