The Buiucani Court annulled the order of the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office to extend the term of keeping former director of the Moldsilva Forestry Agency Anatolie Popusoi as a suspect in a case of misappropriation from the state for another three months, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Prosecutor General’s Office. The judge who passed the decision ruled that the order of the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office was illegal and unfounded. For its part, the Prosecutor General’s Office announced it will challenge the decision in a higher court. The criminal case was opened after checking the legality of Moldsilva leasing out 700 hectares of the Tiganga forest in Orhei to the company Biotex-Com SRL. According to the prosecutors, the lease was signed with serious violations of the legislation.
