Cristina Vulpe of the Chance Party on Monday formally requested the Chisinau Electoral Council to register her in the mayoral race in the November 5 elections.
Council president Viorica Gadîmba told IPN that since Vulpe was the only submission today, she was automatically assigned the 20th place on the ballot paper. The Council now has 7 days to decide on Vulpe’s registration.
To date, the Council has registered 12 candidates in the Chisinau mayoral race, with 8 others pending registration.
