The Central Election Commission (CEC) will request the Constitutional Court to validate the seats of MP of two substitute candidates from the list of the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS), Mihail Leahu and Alina Dandara, IPN reports.
In its January 3 meeting, the Commission took note of the vacancy of two seats of MP in the PAS parliamentary group. The seats were vacated by Dumitru Alaiba, who was appointed minister of economy, and Adrian Băluțel, who was named secretary of state at the State Chancellery.
In accordance with the legislation, the Constitutional Court validates the next seat of MP within ten days of the declaring of the vacancy.
