The Central Election Commission (CEC) ordered to institute administrative proceedings against persons holding responsible posts inside political parties that didn’t present financial reports on time. The Commission’s president will summon these persons to explain the situation and, if need be, will draw up contravention reports against them, IPN reports, with reference to a press release of the electoral authority.
Of 55 parties that were obliged to present financial management reports, only 33 complied with the legal provisions and presented the reports by the set time limit. Nine political parties, even if they presented reports on time, didn’t fulfill the obligation to present them both on paper and in electronic form through the “Financial Control” System.
Another eight parties didn’t present reports in any of the required forms. These are: the Social Democratic Party, the Political Party “New Historical Option”, “United Moldova – Edinaya Moldova” Party, “Democratic Action” Party, “RENAȘTERE” Party, Progressive Society Party, Moldovan Party “Ours” and National Progress Party.
The CEC also ascertained that nine parties whose annual incomes or costs exceed 1 million lei were to present audit reports for 2019-2021. An audit report by the set deadline was presented by the Democratic Party of Moldova and by the Party of Action and Solidarity. The Commission extended the deadline for submitting the audit report for the other seven parties until July 1, 2022.
