The Central Election Commission (CEC) initiated the procedure for validating the seat of MP of Grigorii Uzun, a substitute candidate on the list of the Party of Socialists. The decision was adopted in the February 9 meeting of the CEC, IPN reports.
The CEC will present the set of documents needed for validating the seat of MP to the Constitutional Court.
Last week, Parliament declared the seat vacant after Socialist MP Vladimir Golovatiuc was named Ambassador of Moldova to the Russian Federation.
The next substitute candidate on the Party of Socialists’ list is Grigorii Uzun. He is 34 and is from Vulcănești town. He is an engineer by profession and is a deputy of the People’s Assembly of Gagauzia.
