The Central Election Commission (CEC) accepted the tenth party to run for the parliament. Moldova Unita submitted its documents to the CEC on February 9 and was registered on February 12, Info-Prim Neo reports. Its leader Ana Tcaci says their slogan is “The state for the man, not the man for the state”. According to her, in Moldova, radical changes are necessary. “It's time to switch from miming democracy to cardinal changes,” Tcaci specified. She says half of those 101 candidates for the parliament are women, and most of them come from rural localities. Ana Tcaci says she realizes her party will not be the smartest, but said chances should be given to new parties to change the course of things in the country. The party will be the tenth on the ballot. The positions are occupied as follows: the Social Democratic Party (PSD), the Liberal Party (PL), Moldova Noastra Alliance (AMN), the People Christian Democratic Party (PPCD), the Communists Party (PCRM), the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM), the Democratic Party(PD), the Centrist Union (UCM) and the European Action Movement. The other parties registered with the Justice Ministry can lodged their papers with the CEC till March 5.
