The voter turnout at 12 noon was 22.6%. Representatives of the Central Election Commission noted the mass mobilization among the voters in the county and abroad, IPN reports.

In a press briefing, CEC vice president Vladimir Șarban said that over 78,000 Moldovans voted abroad by midday. Crowdedness at polling stations was reported in a number of European states. This refers to the polling stations in Paris, Brussels, Berlin, London etc. There is also a high voter turnout in the Russian Federation. The citizens who vote abroad are asked to visit the website https://diaspora.cec.md/ to see where there are the closest polling stations and where there is crowdedness.

Mobilization is also witnessed at the 42 polling stations intended for voters residing in the Transnistrian region. More than 13,000 voters cast their ballots there, as opposed to over 14,000 in the first round of the presidential elections.

Vladimir Șarban noted that the situation at the polling stations where tensions existed in the November 1 elections is being monitored. The police said there were no major incidents in those areas. There were reported altercations and cases of blocking of road sections and these cases are being examined as are the alleged instances of illegal transportation of voters to polling stations.
