CEC decides number of ballots for polling stations established in Moldova

The Central Election Commission agreed the number of ballots for the polling stations established in the country for the national constitutional referendum and the presidential election of October 20. A total of 2,729,996 ballots will be printed for each of the two electoral exercises, IPN reports.

Most of them, 2,092,641 ballots, will be in Romanian. Over 631,000 ballots will be in Russian, and 115,000 will be in Ukrainian. Fewer ballots will be in the Gagauz, Bulgarian and Romani languages.

For voters from localities situated on the left bank of the Nistru, 90,000 ballots will be printed.

The CEC printed 1,809 ballots for those who requested to exercise their right to vote by post and by 852,000 ballots for each electoral exercise for polling stations established abroad.
