Career fair at Government House. Ministry specialists and government agency inspectors needed

Over 400 jobs in state institutions were presented at the career fair staged in the Government House on Thursday, October 10. The proposed salaries are at least 8,000 lei, plus social packages. There are offers at the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, vacancies of inspectors at the National Food Safety Agency, specialists at the One-Stop Shop of the General Inspectorate for Migration, IPN reports.



Natalia Cîrlig, head of the Human Resources Division of the National Bureau of Statistics, said that the institution offers 35 vacant positions, from senior specialist to senior consultant, as well as six positions for paid internships. People who want to work at the institution must have a bachelor’s degree in economics, statistics, internal auditing, accounting, international relations, jurisprudence. The competition consists of a written test and an interview. The salary for the available vacancies varies from 9,300 lei for senior specialist to 11,880 lei for senior consultant.

The National Food Safety Agency is looking for inspectors in the areas of activity of the institution. The head of the Human Resources Management Division Eduard Andrușca said that there is a need for people with higher education in veterinary medicine, agronomy, plant protection and food safety. After the candidate passes the competition, a probationary period of three months as a beginner follows. If, for various reasons, the probation is not passed, the period can be extended for three months. A new inspector at the Agency will receive around 10,000-11,000 lei.

The Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization came to the event with two offers of vacant executive positions and three proposals for paid internships. There are also vacant positions in the Quality Infrastructure and Market Surveillance Division and the Business Environment Regulation Policies Division. There are also offers of paid internship at the Macroeconomic Analysis and Forecasting Division, the World Trade Organization and Trade Regimes Section. Candidates must have studies in economics, law, public administration, said the main consultant of the Ministry’s Human Resources Division Aliona Dobrota.



The General Inspectorate for Migration proposes vacant positions at the Foreigner Documents One-Stop Shop. The head of the Inspectorate’s Foreigners Integration Division Vera Valuța said that it is important for the person to be upright, to have studies in law. Graduates of “Ştefan cel Mare” Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (or with other related studies) are particularly welcome. The persons can be hired through the competition procedure, but they can also be assigned from “Ştefan cel Mare” Academy. In order to pass the competition, the person must have a minimum grade “6”. The salary is from 8,000 lei upwards.

The Government’s spokesman Daniel Vodă said that the event involves ministries, the State Chancellery, agencies, inspectorates that offer over 400 jobs, all of which can be found on the platform cariere.gov.md. A few institutions are looking for employees in executive positions where salaries for beginners start at 12,000 lei, and also for managerial positions, with a salary of up to 25,000 lei. In addition, the career fair is promoting paid internships, an innovative program of the Government that offers scholarships of 3,000 lei for eligible young people. These traineeships may subsequently lead to employment outside competition.



The young people present at the career fair said that they came with the aim of exploring job opportunities and enrolling in internships offered by ministries and agencies. Among the institutions they want to work for are the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Chancellery, the General Carabineer Inspectorate, the Ministry of Education and Research. The students say that, for now, they prefer to work part-time, given the salaries between 3,000 and 20,000 lei.

Most offers are from the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Investment Agency. As a result of the first edition of the event, more than 100 people were employed in the public service.
