The canteen of the National Theoretical High School “Aristotel”, where 65 students got poisoned with food, was closed. The National Food Safety Agency announced that it initiated checks, IPN reports.
Until the epidemiological investigation continues, the canteen will remain closed. According to the Agency, the responsibility for food safety lies exclusively with food service operators.
In this connection, the institution calls on the economic agents operating in the field to purchase raw materials only from reliable suppliers that hold quality certificates or the sanitary-veterinary certificate. It is also mandatory to ensure compliance with the hygiene rules in cooking facilities and with the thermal regime for storing raw materials, depending on their degree of perishability, as well as to correctly store products in order to exclude cross-contamination.
An employee of the National Theoretical High School “Aristotel” of Chisinau and 65 students of the 10th-12th grades got poisoned with food. The adult and 20 of the students were admitted to the hospital. According to the Ministry of Health, the condition of the students and employee is satisfactory, while the state of the student who is in intensive care is serious, but stable.
