Moldovan canoeist Oleg Tarnovski won a bronze medal at the Canoe Sprint European Championships held in Belgrade, IPN reports.
In the 500 m race, Tarnovski achieved the result of 1:48.454, being outrun by Czech athlete Martin Fuksa (1:47.404) and Germany’s Sebastian Brendel (1:47.659).
In the Olympic 1 000 m race, Tarnovscki finished eighth with the time of 3:58.742. Martin Fuksa hit a new European record - 3:46.723.
