Retired SIS colonel Alexei Serebreanschi, former foreign spy chief, made a call to the Prosecutor General’s Office and the acting prosecutor general over the alleged illegalities committed by the president of the Administrator Board of SA Moldovagaz Vadim Ceban. According to him, Vadim Ceban protects his adviser who denigrates a series of public figures, including of Gagauzia, through the agency of Telegram channels that disseminate fake news by using the resources of the Security and Intelligence Service.

“I officially request the Prosecutor General’s Office and the acting prosecutor general to hold Vadim Ceban, the chief of Moldovagaz, accountable for co-participation as he was repeatedly informed about very serious crimes committed by his adviser Cuzmin, while the lack of reactions shows that Vadim Ceban is also the organizer of these crimes,” Alexei Serebryanski stated in a news conference staged by IPN.

According to him, today Vadim Ceban not only protects his adviser Cuzmin, a former SIS employee, but also takes this with him in all his political trips to Gagauzia, promising to him the post of adviser to the Bashkan in the future. As it is rumored, Vadim Ceban intends to run for Bashkan in the elections of next spring.

“What kind of person is Vadim Ceban if he needs to be consulted on issues concerning Gagauzia by such an individual who promotes interethnic hatred and the intimidation of the people of Gagauzia,” asked Alexei Serebryanski, who presented a number of messages that, as he said, were posted on Telegram channels managed by the adviser to the chief of Moldovagaz.

He showed a list of names of public figures that were the targets of attacks. “I note that all these persons were subject to intimidation by the former SIS officer and current adviser to Vadim Ceban. Through the agency of Telegram channels, these persons were slandered and attacked. Discrediting materials were fabricated and published and the people of Gagauzia were denigrated,” said the retired SIS colonel.

“All these illegalities committed by Cuzmin fall under the Penal Code’s provisions concerning inciting of interethnic hatred. I state that I possess all the proofs and copies of the given messages that were written and published by the adviser to the chief of Moldovagaz on Telegram channels. This evidence will be transmitted to the Prosecutor’s Office soon.”
